From Plainfield, New Jersey to Midtown Manhattan, the response to Gorilla Pimp Records has been the same. A movement this large had not occured so succinctly since George Clinton & The P Funk All Stars. Gorilla Pimp's arsenal of artist now consists of Sam Scarfo, Conair (Straps, Killa Black, Big Nut) along with female R&B singer, Andrea Lee and Da Kamitte (Bless, Osama, Scro, Gotti & Nick Scarfo). GP is also home to an in house production team, Flatline ( A.B., Bish Baskets and Bucks).
Gorilla Pimp Records was formed in 2001 by Lawrence "L" Kyser and Rodwell Gill aka Sam Scarfo. While earning their credibility on the streets, GP Records set its sites on a bigger task, the major music industry. The plan was to pimp the game. The result was a multi million dollar deal through Jay Z, now President of Def Jam in 2005.
With money in the bank and the availabilty of resources at the largest label in hip hop, Gorilla Pimp Records plans its future growth very carefully. Through hard work, dedication and preserverence their legend will be undoubtedly written in stone.
